Glass negative photograph of WSC and CSC at Chartwell [Kent], 1934-08
Scope and Contents
Photograph taken from above of WSC and CSC standing beside [?] the newly-made bathing pool at Chartwell. WSC is in a siren suit and a hat with a white feather in it, a cigar in his mouth, while CSC is in a long light-coloured checked dress and dark coat with a sun hat, her handbag tucked under one arm and her gloves in her free hand; she is looking upwards at something out of shot. There is a pug beside them, and an open grassy space sloping downhill and woodland in the background.
