Scope and Contents

Photograph of WSC and CSC in the cattle market at Epping [Essex] during the General Election campaign. They are both in a wagon with two other men, WSC standing by a microphone, looking ahead with one hand in his pocket, and the other resting on his cane, CSC sitting on the edge of the wagon, looking away. WSC is wearing a dark overcoat, bow tie and tall bowler hat, CSC is in a long tweed coat with a large draping collar and matching skirt, belted jumper, gauntlets, brooch and Tam o' shanter type cap, with an election rosette pinned to her lapel. In the foreground, a cow is tied to the railings next to the wagon.
