"The wedding of Diana to Mr Duncan Sandys at St Ethelburga's, Bishopsgate", 1935-09-16
Scope and Contents
Photograph of WSC and his daughter Diana Churchill [also Diana Bailey, later Diana Sandys] emerging from a car through a crowd of onlookers on each side, presumably before entering the church. The photograph is taken from above and shows them both looking straight ahead; WSC is smiling and wearing formal dress, with a top hat and spotted bow tie, and is holding a cane in one hand, and gloves in the other. Diana, just behind him, is wearing a white dress and a close white hat, with appliquéd white leaves round the brim, and is holding a fur stole around her shoulders.
