Biographical / Historical
Mary Churchill [later Mary Soames] served with the Auxiliary Territorial Service, 481 Battery. In 1944 481 Battery was stationed near Chartwell, Kent, and when WSC and CSC visited they saw the battery in action against a V-1 flying bomb.
