Scope and Contents
Gives a general account of Bagnold's movements during the Second World War, including desert patrols and operations. Events covered include: Bagnold's arrival in Egypt (1939); Turkey reconnaissance (1940); tour of Aden Gulf area (1940); visit to Fort Lamy (1940); journey to Kufra proclamation ceremony (May 1941); journeys to Gaza, Brummana and Jeruslaem (Oct 1942), Sudan and Eritrea (Dec 1942) and Turkey (May 1943 and Aug 1943); and his return to England (Mar 1944).
