Scope and Contents

Mainly correspondence on defence and foreign affairs. Also includes texts of various lectures and articles by Nixon and letters from Jonathan Aitken and former members of the Suez Group (Sir Anthony Fell, 1st Lord Clitheroe [earlier Ralph Assheton], 17th Lord Lauderdale [earlier Patrick Maitland], Lord Maude, 1st Lord Margadale [earlier John Morrison], [Alexander] Victor Montagu [earlier Lord Hinchingbrooke and 10th Lord Sandwich] and Sir John Biggs-Davison) on a letter from Nixon saying that the United States had made a mistake in their policy on the Suez Crisis.
