Working papers on women and families in Britain, Europe, and the USA, covering subjects such as employment, including part-time work; the 'double burden'; girls' education; women in science and industry; feminism; marriage and single women; fatherhood; and divorce. Consists largely of press cuttings, articles, and survey data, with Mark Abrams's notes. Includes a copy of Pelican paperback 'The Captive Wife: Conflicts of Housebound Mothers' (1966) by Hannah Gavron, and typescript of a lecture entitled "Kinship and Community in East London" by Michael Young (n.d.).
