Scope and Contents
Working papers on food consumption and health issues in Britain and the USA, covering subjects such as food and drink retailing and diets; consumption habits of housewives; health education in secondary schools; government and consumer spending on healthcare; research into occupational and mental health; and old age pensions. Consists of press cuttings, articles, and survey data, with Mark Abrams's notes, largely for papers delivered to food manufacturers. Includes copies of raw social survey data and other materials relating to Ministry of Food surveys (1941-1964) and Mark Abrams's paper "Testing Opinion" (1965).
