Scope and Contents
Working papers on the Conservative Party's 1964 General Election campaign, covering subjects such as political leadership; housing and transport policies; political advertisements and advertising strategies; public perceptions of nationalisation, especially in the steel industry; and personalities in the party. Consists largely of press cuttings, articles, and survey data, with Mark Abrams's notes. Including copies of Conservative and Unionist Central Office pamphlets 'Talking on Television and Radio' (1963) and 'The Selwyn Lloyd Enquiry into the Party Organisation' [Selwyn Lloyd Report] (1963), and party manifestos.
