Subjects include the deportation of foreign senior members of University staff; attempts to make the University align to the socialist values of the government; President Nkrumah's proposed political appointments to the Heads of the Departments of Philosophy (Professor Abraham), Law (Dr Ekow Daniels) and Political Science (Dr Yaw Manu) and disagreement about these appointments (both the principle of the decision making process and specific objections to [W C] Ekow Daniels); political interference in the running of the University, including a presidential command restructuring the University including moving the Institute of Education to Cape Coast; preparations for an Academic Board meeting; and Conor Cruise O'Brien's resignation.
