Includes: letter from the Secretary of the Staff Board of the Labour Party offering GK the post of Labour Party Representative in the Parliamentary Lobby, 1965; paper sent by GK to [James] Harold Wilson, Prime Minister, c December 1965, and annotated by Wilson, on maintaining the political initiative during the lead up to the Hull by-election in January 1966; note annotated by Wilson on whether he agreed with a reply from GK on an unknown subject, May 1966; statement by the Labour Liaison Committee to a Party meeting on allegations by Woodrow Wyatt that there had been leaks to the press from Government sources, with reference to a report by GK as Parliamentary Press Liaison Officer; statement [? by GK] on the replacement of John Silkin as Chief Whip and a threatened rebellion against Wilson, April-May 1969; issues of Hansard, June 1970; copy of the Labour Party programme for the next General Election, January 1974; papers on GK being sworn in as a member of the Privy Council, 1978, including a letter from James Callaghan, Prime Minister, on GK's appointment and the copy of the Pentateuch on which he swore his oath of allegiance.
