Scope and Contents
Correspondents include: Kypros Tofallis, Director of the Greek Institute, on interviewing AFB for his history of Cyprus; Peter Cadogan, General Secretary of South Place Ethical Society, on recording a discussion with AFB and the BBC Open Door programme on the society; Louise Ouwerkerk, asking AFB to write the preface for her book "I Too Was a Jailbird" (synopsis enclosed) on her experiences as an internee in India, 1940-41; Nigel Siederer on the National Council for Civil Liberties campaign on the conviction of the peace campaigner [Margaret] Pat Arrowsmith; Richard Clements, Editor of Tribune, on articles by AFB; David Blunt on the inquiry into conditions for African nationals working for British companies in Namibia.
Also includes: correspondence with the Northern Ireland Civil Rights Association on arrangements for AFB's visit to Ireland, August 1974, with the text of his speech at a civil rights rally in Tyrone, to demand the release of all internees, Loyalist and Republican.
