Scope and Contents

Includes: a copy of Hansard and letters from Sir Anthony Wagner, Garter King of Arms, Lord Gardiner, Lord Chancellor and Sir George Mills, Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod, on AFB's introduction to the House of Lords, 1964; notes (some in shorthand) from a visit to the Soviet Union, 1965, mainly relating to the Vietnam War, including [?] speech notes and notes of meetings, with Nguyen Van Dong, Deputy Chief of the National Liberation Front's Permanent Representation in the Soviet Union, Yuri Zhukov, Deputy Chairman of the Soviet Peace Committee and Nguyen Van Kinh, North Vietnamese Ambassador to the Soviet Union [see also FEBR 3/4]; general correspondence, 1966, with correspondents including [James] Harold Wilson, Prime Minister, thanking AFB for his congratulations on the General Election, and a representative of the Press Council about a complaint made by a group of Ghanaian editors about the publication by the Daily Express of a photograph of chained prisoners supposedly from Ghana, which was actually taken in Togo; photographs of crops and farm workers with their families from the Bou Saada project [Algeria], 1966 [see also FEBR 3/1, 3/4 and 7/9]; memorial notices on the death of Robert [Bobby] Kennedy, 1968.
