Literary: correspondence: recordings of speeches and extracts from works. This file primarily consists of business correspondence relating to the rights in speeches recorded privately by WSC in 1949, which were acquired by Decca in 1964. Other subjects include: correspondence regarding a compilation of WSC's favourite tunes, the text for introduction by WSC for film "My Early Life" (ff 47-49), numerous lists of WSC's recorded speeches, British and United States newspaper cuttings relating to the release of the recorded speeches by Decca (ff 363-372, 380-382).

For conservation reasons, the fragile originals are no longer issued to researchers.

This digital edition is open to researchers unless otherwise marked in the catalogue. Some material has been closed by the Cabinet Office or by Churchill Archives Centre in accordance with data protection legislation.
