Typescript and galley proofs of Chapter 17 "Counter Strike in the Ardennes", originally titled "Paris: The Rundstedt Offensive", annotated with suggested amendments and corrections by various people including WSC, Denis Kelly, William Deakin, Lt-General Sir Henry Pownall Lord Ismay and Charles Wood.With cutting from the Daily Express - article "Hitler's Desperate Last Gamble" by Lt-General W Bedell Smith, Jun 1946, letter from General Pownall suggesting the insertion of a tribute to Field Marshal Sir John Dill, who died in Washington, Nov 1944; letter from N E Martin, Cabinet Office, to Kelly, on the call-up of an additional 250,000 men in 1944-45.
