Includes notes and correspondence relating to corrections to be made to Volume 4 of the Second World War from individuals including: William Deakin (9); Denis Kelly (15); Renee Harmer of Time Life International with queries on the serialised version published in Life Magazine (9); [George] Gordon Allen (10); Lieutenant-General Sir Henry Pownall (9); Nina Holton of Houghton Mifflin Company on the United States edition of the book (13); Robert Marshall, Private Secretary to Sir Norman Brook [later 1st Lord Normanbrook], Secretary to the Cabinet (2); "Bill" 1st Lord Camrose, Chairman, and Colin Coote, Managing Director of the Daily Telegraph and Morning Post on corrections to the serialisation of the book in the Daily Telegraph; and Emery Reves [earlier Imre Revesz].Also includes: letters from members of the public pointing out mistakes; notes of queries to be investigated; galley proofs of "overtake" corrections annotated by Denis Kelly and Charles Wood; a copy of an article by Raymond Swing entitled "Is history bunk?" in the Saturday Review of Literature; and notes and copies of correspondence from WSC and "NS" ["Jo" Sturdee, later Lady Onslow] to the individuals mentioned above.
