Includes typescript and galley proofs of Chapter 31 "Suspense and Strain" annotated with suggested amendments and corrections by various people including Denis Kelly, William Deakin, WSC, Charles Wood, 1st Lord Ismay and Sir Norman Brook [later 1st Lord Normanbrook, Secretary to the Cabinet].Some source material also present in the file including: a note from Kelly and a copy of a note by Sir Stafford Cripps [then Lord Privy Seal] on the war situation and copies of correspondence between Cripps and WSC dating to 1942.Most of the material in the file dates to 1949-1950.
