Includes typescript and galley proofs of Chapter 24 "The 8th Army at bay" annotated with suggested amendments and corrections by various people including Denis Kelly, William Deakin, WSC, Charles Wood, 1st Lord Ismay, [George] Gordon Allen, Emery Reves [earlier Imre Revesz], and Lieutenant-General Sir Henry Pownall.Some source material also present including: notes from Lettice Marston [later Lettice Shillingford, Secretary to WSC], Denis Kelly, Allen and four notes from Pownall on subjects including operations in the Western Desert; galley proofs of telegrams; and a copy of the Royal Army Ordnance Corps Gazette and Equipment Review (dating to April 1948).
