Includes typescript and galley proofs of Chapter 17 "Malta and the Desert" (provisionally entitled "Desert delays and Malta") annotated with suggested amendments and corrections by various people including Denis Kelly, William Deakin, WSC, Charles Wood, [George] Gordon Allen, Sir Edward Marsh, Emery Reves [earlier Imre Revesz], Sir Norman Brook [later 1st Lord Normanbrook, Secretary to the Cabinet], and Lieutenant-General Sir Henry Pownall, and 1st Lord Ismay.Some source material is also present in the file including: a note from Pownall with a summary of a telegram from General Sir Claude Auchinleck; a note by Allen on the relation between events at Malta and the campaign in the Western desert; notes about Gibraltar and galley proofs of telegrams.
