Includes typescript and galley proofs of Chapter 16 "The offensive in the Aether" annotated with suggested amendments and corrections by various people including Denis Kelly, William Deakin, WSC, Charles Wood, [George] Gordon Allen, 1st Lord Cherwell [earlier Frederick Lindemann], Sir Edward Marsh, Emery Reves [earlier Imre Revesz], Sir Norman Brook [later 1st Lord Normanbrook, Secretary to the Cabinet], Professor R V Jones [former Director of Intelligence Research at the Air Ministry], and Lieutenant-General Sir Henry Pownall.Some source material is also present in the file including: some correspondence including notes from Kelly (2), a note from Cherwell on the history of technical devices, letters from Jones (2) and Alfred Bavin of the Cabinet Office; an extract from the transcript of the interrogation of General Nachrichtenfuhrer Martini on the use of "window" (the code name for metallised paper used to confuse enemy radar); notes on the raid of the radio station at Bruneval [France]; and a copy of a letter from "N S" [Jo Sturdee, later Lady Onslow].
