Includes typescript and galley proofs of Chapter 12 "India: the Cripps mission" (on Sir Stafford Cripps' unsuccessful mission to India in 1942 to obtain Indian political support for the war) annotated with suggested amendments and corrections by various people including Denis Kelly, William Deakin, WSC, Charles Wood, Sir Edward Marsh, 1st Lord Ismay, [George] Gordon Allen, Sir Norman Brook [later 1st Lord Normanbrook, Secretary to the Cabinet], and Lieutenant-General Sir Henry Pownall.Also includes source material including a note from Deakin, galley proofs of telegrams and a note from WSC to those who assisted him with the book.
