Includes typescript and galley proofs of Chapter 9 "The invasion of Burma" annotated with suggested amendments and corrections by various people including Denis Kelly, William Deakin, WSC, Charles Wood, Sir Edward Marsh, 1st Lord Ismay, Emery Reves [earlier Imre Revesz], [George] Gordon Allen, Sir Norman Brook [later 1st Lord Normanbrook, Secretary to the Cabinet], 1st Lord Wavell and Lieutenant-General Sir Henry Pownall. Also includes some source material including: notes from Deakin; notes from Pownall on operations in Burma [later Myanmar] and the loss of Rangoon; maps of Burma; notes from Kelly on the Australian government's refusal to divert two divisions to Rangoon; and galley proofs of telegrams.
