Includes typescript and galley proofs of Chapter 13 entitled "At Bay" (provisionally entitled "Alone"), annotated with suggested amendments and corrections by various individuals including: WSC, William Deakin, Denis Kelly, Lieutenant- General Sir Henry Pownall, Sir Edward Marsh, George [Gordon] Allen and Elizabeth Gilliatt, WSC's secretary.Also includes: extract of conversations between Count Galeazzo Ciano [Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs], Hitler and Wilhelm Keitel [Chief of Staff to Hitler]; galley proofs provisionally intended to feature in Chapter 15 "Operation Sea Lion"; typescript and galley proofs from Chapter 11 "Admiral [Jean] Darlan and the French Fleet. Oran [Algeria]" provisionally intended to feature in Chapter 13; outline of Chapter 13.
