Includes typescript and galley proofs of Chapter 4 entitled "The March to the Sea" (provisionally entitled "The Deliverance of Dunkirk" [France] and "The Last Week of Dunkirk"), annotated with suggested amendments and corrections by various individuals including: WSC, William Deakin, Charles Wood, Lieutenant- General Sir Henry Pownall, Denis Kelly, Randolph Churchill and Jo Sturdee [later Lady Onslow], WSC's secretary.Also includes: extract from Pownall's diary, May - June 1940.
