Includes typescript and galley proofs annotated with suggested corrections and amendments from various people including: "F W D" or "Mr D" [William Deakin, literary assistant], WSC, [Lieutenant-General Sir Henry Pownall], and "E M" [Sir Edward Marsh].Also includes: provisional chapter proofs entitled "After Munich"; note from Pownall on army size; proofs of contemporary letters from WSC, Anthony Eden [later 1st Lord Avon], and Alfred Duff Cooper [later 1st Lord Norwich], for incorporation into the chapter; cutting from WSC's "Step by Step" headed "The Morrow of Munich".
