Correspondents include: Ernest Passant, Director of Research, Librarian and Keeper of the Papers, Foreign Office, and Sir Orme Sargent [Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs] on publishing letters by WSC in "Documents on British Foreign Policy" by Llewellyn Woodward; Anthony Moir of Fladgate and Company [WSC's solicitor]; Daniel Longwell [editor of Life magazine]; 1st Lord Camrose [earlier Sir William Berry, Editor-in-Chief] of the Daily Telegraph; representatives of the Reader's Digest (4); Leonard Russell of the Saturday Book; Charles Scribner on United States editions and royalties (3); Catherine Williamson. Also includes notes and copies of correspondence from secretaries Jo Sturdee ("N S") [later Lady Onslow], Lettice Marston [later Lettice Shillingford], and Chips Gilliatt.Other subjects include: requests to quote WSC and reproduce photographs and WSC's articles; German editions and royalties; requests for WSC to write articles or give an interview; proposed books on WSC; details of copying equipment and costs of copying documents; collating WSC's speeches for publication; book recommendations.Also includes: copies of note of conversation between WSC and [Paul] von Kleist and 1938 letters from WSC; royalty statements from Paul List [publishers] and Scribner's; various cuttings including United States reviews of "Maxims and Reflections" (arranged by Colin Coote), (1) by Alistair Cooke; introduction to H A Pitkin photographic book on WSC; "Rectophot" Rapid Reproducer catalogue; example photographs of documents from WSC's papers; list of WSC's speeches in 1949; copies of "Churchill Story" by Colin Frame (serialised in the Star); ["Europe Unite"] article by WSC translated into German.
