Includes correspondence from various organisations and individuals informing WSC of tributes paid to him or requesting his support for various projects. Correspondents include: Lieutenant-Colonel A Odling-Smee of the Royal Western Yacht Club of England (4); George Ward, Secretary of State for Air, on an RAF church; Edgar Lawley, Chairman of the St Mary's Hospital appeal; Clement Harman, Lord Mayor of London, and Walter Matthews, Dean of St Paul's Cathedral on an appeal for the Cathedral; General Wilfred Kitching, International Leader of the Salvation Army; Dorothy Hutton (9) and [5th Lord] Cholmondeley [earlier Lord Rocksavage] on a heraldic record of WSC's orders and decorations prepared by the Society of Scribes and Illustrators; Adrian Worker, Managing Director of Shepperton Film Studios (3); and various individuals on a memorial to General Jan Smuts including Francois Theron, Sir Colin Coote, Managing Editor of the Daily Telegraph and Morning Post, Henry Gluckman (3), Clement Attlee (3), [Nicholas] Henderson [Private Secretary to the Foreign Secretary] and "Jock" [Sir John Colville].Also includes: notes and copies of correspondence from Anthony Montague Browne [Private Secretary to WSC], Catherine Snelling [Secretary to WSC] and Doreen Pugh [Secretary to WSC]; details of charitable donations made by WSC; messages of support from WSC; information about various organisations including the Royal Western Yacht Club of England, the Earl of Northampton's charity, the Council of the Order of St John for Kent, the St Paul's Cathedral Trust, the Worshipful Company of Shipwrights, and a memorial to Jan Smuts; and a photograph of Joan Collins, Bing Crosby, and Bob Hope unveiling a sign depicting WSC at Shepperton Film Studios.
