Correspondents include: Gertrude Blanchard of the Friends of Bath [Somerset] Abbey (4); various representatives of Canterbury [Kent] Cathedral including Dagmar Hayes (3) and Mrs W Thosby (7); Patrick Wright, Private Secretary to the British Ambassador to the United States (3) and Marshall Beverley, President of the Friendship Veterans' Fire Engine Company (3); various correspondents on WSC's presentation to the Most Noble Order of the Garter (an honour which was presented posthumously) including Reverend Robert Woods, Dean of Windsor (8), Randolph Churchill, Sir Anthony Wagner, Garter Principal of Arms (3), Sir George Bellew, Secretary of the Most Noble Order of the Garter (4), and Sir Edward Ford, Assistant Private Secretary to Queen Elizabeth II.Also includes: notes and copies of correspondence from Anthony Montague Browne [Private Secretary to WSC], Catherine Snelling [Secretary to WSC] and Doreen Pugh [Secretary to WSC]; details of charitable donations made by WSC; newspaper cuttings; pamphlets and information about Canterbury Cathedral, the tomb of Edward the Black Prince, Stephen Langton (Archbishop of Canterbury 1207-1228), Thomas Becket, St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle and the Friendship Veterans' Fire Engine Company.
