Correspondents from representatives of Bristol University to WSC [Chancellor of Bristol University] include: Sir Philip Morris, Vice Chancellor, on subjects including fund raising for new buildings at the teaching hospital, a meeting of the University Court, a portrait by Sir Frank Salisbury for Churchill Hall, the jubilee celebrations, requests for WSC's support and the possibility of WSC visiting the University (28); David Clement, Chairman of Rag at the University of Bristol Union; Lieutenant-General Sir Harold Redman, Director of the Isaac Wolfson Foundation; Alan Reynolds, Warden of Churchill Hall, on the official opening of the hall (2); and [1st] Lord Sinclair [of Cleeve] Pro-Chancellor of the University.Also includes: copies of correspondence from WSC to the individuals mentioned above; notes and copies of correspondence from Doreen Pugh and Catherine Snelling [Secretaries to WSC] and Anthony Montague Browne [Private Secretary to WSC]; and pamphlets commemorating the University's jubilee celebrations, an annual report on the University; and information about the expedition planned by the Expeditions Society.
