Includes letters asking to reproduce images of WSC's paintings from organisations and individuals including: Joseph Thorndike of American Heritage Publishing Company (6); L Jordi of Argus South African Newspapers Limited (4); Lady Audrey Hylton-Foster, President of the British Red Cross (2); H Raban, Director of Frost and Reed Limited (3); Joyce Hall of Hallmark Cards; Anthony Gibbs of Anthony Gibbs and Phillips Limited (3); Herbert Marchant, British Consul General in San Francisco [United States] and Sir Gerald Kelly. Also includes notes and copies of correspondence from Anthony Montague Browne [Private Secretary to WSC], Doreen Pugh [Secretary to WSC] and Gillian Maturin [Secretary to WSC]; letters from Anthony Moir of Fladgate and Company [WSC's solicitor] (11); a mock up of an intended pamphlet about WSC; and a photograph of a painting of WSC's visit to Kingston upon Hull [Yorkshire] in 1941.
