Transcript of a letter from WSC (50, Grosvenor Square [London]) to "Jack" [John S Churchill] enclosing a newspaper cutting [not present] about the "riot at the Empire" [theatre, Leicester Square, London] about which he comments "it was I who led the rioters and made a speech to the crowd"; thanking him for a [Post Office order] and photographs; commenting on [Lord Randolph Churchill's] health; and advising him to "work hard and keep your pecker up". Typed. Two copies. Original letter at CHAR 28/152A/28.
