Letter from "Goonie" [Lady Gwendeline Churchill, formerly Lady Gwendeline Bertie] (16 Rue Auguste Vacquerie, Paris [France]) to "B M" [Lady Randolph Churchill] in which she describes the difficulties of her journey across the Channel; gives the names of the people she has seen who include Edmund Talbot, Mary Talbot and [Edwin] Lutyens; says that she hopes to meet "Jack" [John S Churchill] and comments that Paris appears as if "it had its nerves on edge" and that there are many widows and blind people present. Signed typescript.
