Letter from Shane Leslie (2127 Leroy Place, Washington [United States]) to Aunt Jane [Lady Randolph Churchill] in which he comments on: labour difficulties experienced by WSC [as Minister of Munitions]; [President Woodrow] Wilson's mastery of strikes and the foreign population and the likelihood that Wilson will be elected for a second term; on the delicacy of relations between Great Britain and the United States which are being strengthened through Germany's gains in the war and his hopes that the two countries can reach economic agreement over South America and that there will be a settlement in Ireland.
