Letter from "Jack" [John S Churchill] (Headquarters, 5th Army, British Expeditionary Force, France) to "Mama" [Lady Randolph Churchill] in which he says that he hopes to return home as his job has finished and he wishes to return to the City [of London], discusses Leonie [Lady Leslie's] visit to the grave of Norman [Leslie], and describes the cheerful conditions in Brussels [Belgium] and the uncertainty among the troops about their futures.
