Letter from WSC (6th Royal Scots Fusiliers in the Field [France]) to "Mamma" [Lady Randolph Churchill] in which he discusses [Herbert] Asquith's [later Lord Oxford and Asquith] treatment of him, commenting "having been an adventurer in my enterprises [a reference to the Dardanelles campaign]...he threw me over without the slightest effort even to state the true facts on my behalf", and reports that he is currently commanding the Fusiliers.
