Letter from Jennie [Lady Randolph Churchill] (Banff Springs Hotel, Banff, Alberta [Canada]) to "Sniffy" [Leonie, Lady Leslie, earlier Leonie Jerome] including: her hopes of receiving letters from the family at San Francisco [United States]; travel arrangements in a Pullman private car; a misunderstanding between Lord Randolph Churchill and William Van Horne, Chairman of the Canadian Pacific Railway; the decline in Lord Randolph's health caused by travel; difficulties posed by Lord Randolph when he is cross or excited; plans to travel to Yokohama [Japan] despite the likelihood of war; Dr Keith's opinion that Lord Randolph will make a complete recovery; a description of the scenery and climate; the marriage of Olive; her depression when she thinks of Cowes [Isle of Wight].
