Scope and Contents

Letter from Jennie [Jerome, later Lady Randolph Churchill](Paris [France]) to [Lord] Randolph [Churchill] including: a visit from [Henry] Standish and Lord Blandford [later George, 8th Duke of Marlborough]; his lack of resemblance to his brother [Blandford] whom she considers looks like Mr Robbins; reference to an enclosed newspaper cutting [see CHAR 28/94/48] ; his replacement in Helene Standish's affections by his brother; dresses which [Prince de] Sagan thinks will make her "the prettiest woman in London" and reminiscences of him instructing her to go to bed.
