Letter from Jeannette Jerome [later Lady Randolph Churchill]([Paris, France]) to [Lord] Randolph [Churchill] including: his "wickedness" in his last letter about his parents [John, 7th Duke of Marlborough and Frances, Duchess of Marlborough]; a bid for him to be patient and wait [before marrying her]; encouragement for his ambitions; her faith that her parents [Leonard Jerome and Clara Jerome] will take care of them; letters from her father commenting on the suddenness of their engagement; her desire to see him; her frustration at not being able to ride without a chaperone; the effect of his letters on her moods; her decision to wait for a year before marrying him; the likelihood that [Clara Jerome] will forbid him from visiting her and the importance of persuading his father to consent to their engagement.
