Letter from WSC (Toronto, Ontario [Canada] on the notepaper of 105 Mount Street) to "Mamma" [Lady Randolph Churchill] about his lecture tour including: the limited financial success of the tour; a disagreement with [Major James] Pond who is described as "a vulgar Yankee impressario"; the keen reception he received from audiences in Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto; a pleasant stay with [4th Lord] Minto where he saw "P" [Pamela Plowden, later Lady Lytton]; financial affairs and his pride in having earnt 10,000 pounds without any capital in less than 2 years; the Anglo-Saxon Review and Bendor's [2nd Duke of Westminster] proposed marriage to [Constance Cornwallis-West].
