Letter from WSC (Savoy Hotel, Cairo [Egypt]) to "Mamma" [Lady Randolph Churchill] in which he discusses his progress in researching his book ["The River War"]; the assistance of Lord Cromer with information about Egyptian politics; his intention to interview Tigrana Pasha "who would be very glad to see the last of the British in Egypt"; the publication of ["The Anglo-Saxon Review"] and his disapproval for her choice of name for the magazine. He expresses his pleasure at the success of dictating letters. Signed typescript with manuscript additions.
