Letter from WSC (c/o Sir Bindon Blood, Meerut [India]) to "Mamma" [Lady Randolph Churchill] in which he discusses the publication [of "The Story of the Malakand Field Force"] and his hopes that it will be published before Lord Fincastle's book; describes his hosts; expresses his hopes that she has secured his posting to Egypt and that General [Ian] Hamilton may be able to involve him with the Tirah Expeditionary Force; and discusses the progress of his novel ["Savrola"] which he describes as "destitute of...squalor and animal emotions".
