Scope and Contents

Letter from WSC (4th (The Queen's Own) Hussars, Bangalore, Madras [India]) to "Mamma" [Lady Randolph Churchill] in which he discusses his journey to Brindisi [Italy] and then to Constantinople [Istanbul, Turkey] and says that he hopes that she will send money and letters of introduction for him. He also discusses the possibility that he might go to serve in Egypt, his reading, his intention to write a book and the progress of an article on relations between the British and the Boers. Envelope present.
