Letter from WSC (Bangalore [India]) to "Jack" [John S Churchill] discussing "Jack's" decision not to enter the army and to become a barrister. WSC expresses doubts about his brother's suitability for this career and his "envy" of the opportunity to study at Oxford [University]; says that he is pleased that [James] Welldon approved of his article in Pall Mall Magazine, commenting "Always pay attention to discerning criticism - by which I mean favourable criticism", makes observations about the careers of authors and discusses Rudyard Kipling's new book.
