Letter from WSC (50 Grosvenor Square [London]) to "Mamma" [Lady Randolph Churchill] in which he explains that he has persuaded Dr [Robson] Roose to give him details of the health of his father [Lord Randolph Churchill], that he had not been aware of the seriousness of [Lord Randolph's] illness and expresses his concern. He discusses his hopes for his results from Sandhurst and his financial affairs and advises that she should only write good reports of [Lord Randolph] to [Frances, Duchess of Marlborough].
