Letter from Lord Randolph Churchill (Kimberley [South Africa]) to [Lady Randolph Churchill] including: his concern at [Frances, Duchess of Marlborough's] illness; observations on the political situation in Britain and the appointment of W H Smith as Warden of the Cinque Ports; a description of his visit to diamond mines; his decision to invest some of the syndicate's money in De Beers' shares and concern over the amount of money that has been spent; his opinion about [Joseph] Chamberlain quoting his opinions about South Africa; Gwynydd [Williams'] help with his letters to the [Daily] Graphic and a description of a shooting expedition.
