Letter from Lord Randolph Churchill (Government House, Cape Town [South Africa]) to [Lady Randolph Churchill] including: his concern about [Frances, Duchess of Marlborough's] health; a description of his voyage and his companions, [Hugh] Rayner, Gwynydd [Williams] and [H] Perkins; an outline of their travel plan; the helpfulness and hospitality of [Cecil] Rhodes and [Alfred] Beit; his hopes to do "good business" in Johannesburg and to find out about gold mines from Gardner Williams; a list of the personnel, servants and livestock for his expedition; and his poor opinion of his first letter to the [Daily] Graphic.
