Scope and Contents

Letter from Lord Randolph Churchill (Blenheim Palace) to Jennie [Jerome, later Lady Randolph Churchill] in which he says he was "very nearly amused" by the party at Blenheim; urges her to "drop" the men she spends time with and asks her to persuade [Leonard Jerome] to remain in Paris [France] in order that he [Randolph] might arrange the date of their wedding. He discusses a visit to Woodstock [Oxfordshire] with [Benjamin] Disraeli [later Lord Beaconsfield and Lord Hughendon] and his future visit to Sandringham [Norfolk] with his sister [Lady] Rosamund [Churchill later Lady Fellowes and Lady De Ramsey].
