Series of minutes [from 1st Lord Cherwell, earlier F A Lindemann, Prime Minister's Personal Assistant] to WSC on: 1. shipping from the United States to the Red Sea; 2. anti-tank bombs; 3. "Mutton" and "A.I." squadrons; 4. a paper by [1st] Lord Weir [Director-General of Explosives, Ministry of Supply] on controlling the requirements of the Services; 5. attaching a draft note to Secretary of State for Air [Sir Archibald Sinclair, later 1st Lord Thurso] on equipping aerodromes with blind landing apparatus and night fighter squadrons; 6. using "U.P." [unrotated projectile] weapons from aircraft, originally addressed to Colonel [Leslie] Hollis [Military Assistant Secretary to the War Cabinet]; 7. motorists keeping a log of journeys, attaching a draft minute to Lord President [of the Council, Sir John Anderson, later 1st Lord Waverley]; 8. armour piercing methods, addressed to the Director, Department of Scientific and Industrial Research; 9. being prepared to destroy Caucasus oilfields, referring to "W.P.
