Scope and Contents
Telegram from Field Marshal Sir Bernard Montgomery [Commander 21st Army Group] to WSC marked "Top Secret" reporting that General Gunther Blumentritt has not begun negotiations [to surrendered his troops]; but that a "very high power delegation from Field Marshal Wilhelm Keitel [Chief of the High Command of the Armed Forces]" has arrived at Montgomery's HQ and that he hopes to obtain the unconditional surrender of all German forces in Holland [the Netherlands], Friesland, Heligoland, Schleswig-Holstein [Germany] and Denmark from it.
