Telegram from Prime Minister, WSC, to the Prime Minister of Australia [John Curtin] in which he says that he is pleased that [Curtin] approves proposals for the award of campaign stars; discusses service qualifications and the new Defence medal, the decision not to award additional emblems for service in North Africa, Greece, Crete and Syria because of the precedent it would set, and the extension of the 1939-45 Star to the end of the Pacific War.
